Reach Austria is a Riichi Mahjong tournament organized by the Austrian club Kasu. It takes place on the 14th of December, 2008 in the premises of Vienna's go-club GO7. Riichi players from all over the world are  welcomed to join the session.

Due to organizational issues the number of players is limited to 32.

Schedule

The tournament starts on the 14th of December at 10 am. There will be a one hour lunch break after the first Han-Chan. At about 12:30 pm the next circle of three Han-Chans will start with 15 minutes break after each. The winners will be announced at 5:30 pm.

Reach Austria takes place at the “GO7”, a location of a local Go club.

The address is: Mariahilferstraße 82, 1070 Wien/Vienna.

It is highly recommended to come by foot or public transport because parking lots are very rare and parking garage fees for a day are pretty high.

Rules:

The tournament is played by the official EMA rules and the whole session will be counted for the official ranking.

Prizes;

The first place gets a custom-made Mahjong table sponsored by Kasu. All of the participants get certificates for entering the session and their points will be counted for the official EMA ranking.

Registration and entry fee:

The registration fee is 14,00 EUR and the registration ends on the 1st of December, 2008. Catering (lunch and coffee) is included. The registration is only possible via internet: http://kasu.otaku.at/index.php?PageID=85

Payment details:

The participants are asked to remit the entrance fee until the 1st of December to the bank account of the club Kasu. Please do not forget to mention your full name and the subject “Reach Austria” as an intended purpose for your bank transfer. Otherwise it will be difficult to assign whether the entrance fee is already paid or not.
